Winter Solstice

Hi there crafty buddies,

I've got a new planner for this year and its pretty mahoosive!! so as our lovely Janice over at Scrappers Delights has a new release on her digi images I've used Winter Solstice to make a dashboard for my January spreads. I know January is gone now but this is my sharing date so I've been using her already.

Did you know that the winter solstice, also known as midwinter, is an astronomical phenomenon marking the day with the shortest period of daylight and the longest night of the year. We had ours in the UK on 21st December.

Isn't this Winter Solstice a beauty? Just look at all that hair. You can find her here at the store

I coloured her up with copics using BG's and RV's and BV's for her hair. I forgot to write down the actually colours.. sorry.. I used some of the elements from the Xmas Unicorn planner kit to create the background for her, you can find this kit at the store to using the link above.

  1. Hey Helen - thank you so much for sharing your project and creativity at 613. Beautiful & masterful Copic coloring on this gal! Blending and shading on your skin tones is so well done and I love the white dots you have added to her hair. I also enjoy your ability to use stark white for your highlights, something I need to do more of - good inspiration!
