Needle Felting

Hi there crafty buddies, long time no see or speak.

As most of you know I have decided to take a break from colouring and design team work and am crafting for my own pleasure.

So I've taken up a new hobby of needle felting.
I started by going on a workshop to make a needle felted picture as this was mainly what I wanted to do, then I did some wet felting and then a Gnome workshop and have got into doing the 3D stuff to now.
I now have a subscription each month for a needle felting box so I can make lots of different stuff. OOOw where to put it all.

Wow I never thought that I would love it so much..... and all of it to.
So I just thought I'd share a few of my little creations so far.
Lots more practice needed but its so nice and relaxing and makes me feel creative LOL !!

My first Gnome and needle felted picture

A couple more pictures and of course more Gnomes.

My first fairy made for my Reiki Master Ann

Outdoor fun with Fuzzypuffs

Hi crafty peeps,

Its time for a new challenge over at the Polkadoodles Crafting Challenge Blog.
Anything Goes so why not come and join us.
https://polkadoodle.blogspot.co.uk/

This month the DT are doing Outdoor fun, so it just had to be a hedgepig for me as they are real fun loving critters. My Mum loves hedgepigs and she sponsors a little blind one at Tiggywinkles Hospital called Suzie. The sponsorship helps to look after the wild life that is brought into them.

I've used Earlie Hedgehog from the Fuzzypuffs collection and tamed it up with a background from Horace and Boo. You can find it all here at the store

"Shiver me timbers"

Ahoy there shipmates!!

I'm getting in the mood for a bit of skullduggery with the new release from Scrappers Delights. It's all about Pirates.
Now I love a good pirate image they always remind me of "where's all the rum gone" Johnny Depp in Pirates of the Caribbean. Love those movies. This little fella has a touch of the Capt'n Jack hair about him don't you think?

You can find all the new images right here at the store
http://scrappersdelights.com/store/index.php?main_page=products_new

I printed out the images and coloured the copics then fussy cut them to add to my planner spread. Added a couple of die cuts including the flamingo as they are quite curious birds and Ahoy there we have a pirate planner spread.

Catpunzel

Hi crafty friends,

I'm here today with a fabulous new release from Knitty Kitty Digis. We've got  a bit of a furrytale theme going with Catpunzel. OOow look at her!!

I love the Disney movie Tangled and Catpunzel is doing a pretty good impression with all those golden locks, just waiting for a purrfect Prince to pop along and release her from her scratch pole tower. My Crazy Maisey kitty would love a plait like that.

You can find her here at the store: https://www.etsy.com/uk/listing/614169551/digi-stamp-instant-download-catpunzel?ref=shop_home_active_1

In the Spotlight for Scrappers Delights

Hi crafty buddies,

Today I have the great honour of being the featured DT member over at Scrappers Delights. This puts me in the spotlight, ta dah!!! So I thought I would show you how I make my planner spread using Janice's fabulous digital images.

To make up my spread I decided to us some chefy images as I have been sooo many years in the catering trade..... I used the following digital images from the store
Recipe Card
http://scrappersdelights.com/store/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=89_234&products_id=1028
Kitchen Scene
http://scrappersdelights.com/store/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=89_234&products_id=1029
Kitchen scene builder
http://scrappersdelights.com/store/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=89_234&products_id=1030
Charlie/Jill Chef 2
http://scrappersdelights.com/store/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=89_234&products_id=1032

First of all I decided on the images from the scene builder that I wanted to use and took those into My Craft Artist by dragging and dropping them onto my open page .. I then added the other images so I could print them all out to colour them.

I coloured up my images using copic, having decided to use blues and reds for my theme.

I fussy cut them out and add some complementary washi tape to my planner pages then arranged them and glued them onto my planner pages. I use a glue that isn't too wet to do this as it can soak through onto the following pages.

Here's my completed spread

Hi crafty buddies,

Its time for a new challenge over at the Polkadoodles Crafting Challenge.
Why don't you come and join us and show us your beautiful projects, Anything Goes

For my inspiration I'm using one of the cute Lil Miss Sugarpops, these are some of my favourite images and such lush papers to go with them to. The DT are doing some paper piecing for our projects, so I've coloured her face, hair and under her hat with copics, then paper pieced the hat and bow and her dress from the pre-coloured images in the kit. I then popped her onto some of the papers from the kit and added the Fabulous mitred dies to make a fence and flowers rom the kit to.

Kleokatra

Hi there crafty friends,

Today I'm sharing a little ATC that I made for my crafty buddy Annabel the pawesome artiste responsible for Knitty Kitty digi stamps. This is Kleokatra.

The Ancient Egyptians held cats in the highest esteem, the penalties for injuring or killing a cat were severe. They worshipped a Cat Goddess, often represented as half feline, half woman, whom they called Bastet. Of course Kleokatra was one of the most famous of all Egyptian Queens.

During more than two decades as Egypt’s last independent pharaoh, she engaged in ruthless power struggles with her siblings, battled the future Roman emperor and engaged in military alliances—and passionate affairs—with Julius Caesar and Mark Antony.
She was known for her amazing beauty at the time, but a coin was found that was 2,000 years old. It showed that she was not as beautiful as she was made out to be. Her picture showed a sharp chin and nose with a flat mouth. No rouged lips or plump cheeks there. Story of my life !!

You can find her here at the store
https://www.etsy.com/uk/listing/495552164/digi-stamp-instant-download-kleokatra?ref=shop_home_active_12

Knitty Kitty digis are having a Kleokatra Day check out the details :
On Facebook, "like" the pinned Kleokatra Day post, comment your fav KKD stamp and link to it in the shop, then tag friends. Shop: https://www.etsy.com/shop/eekers (Ends 28th April).

This is a shortened version. There will be a much longer version on the pinned Kleokatra Day post, explaining this more thoroughly, so if you want more explanation and don't mind a read, everything will be there.

Peggy

Hello buddies,

We've got a new challenge starting over at th Sheepski Designs Facebook Group come and join us, Anything Goes https://www.facebook.com/groups/1730005463906336/

I've chosen to use Peggy. Don't you just love a flying horse?
Pegasus was a flying horse in Greek mythology, usually depicted as white coloured. So mines a little variation. His father was Poseidon and his mother was the Gorgon Medusa. Wow what a parentage.

Garden Bouquet

Hi crafty peeps,

It seems like ages since a coloured anything that was just florals and this is such a beautiful image from Conie Fong. Look at all that array of flowers its s stunner.
I love to see flowers in unusual containers don't you? Last year I went to a local flower show and they had some fabulous displays with flowers on dressers, in wheelbarrows, teapots and old saucepans. They looked divine. I love a bit of quirky in a garden.

There are 2 versions of this fabulous image this one with the watering can and another with a pair of wellington boots. You can find them both here at the store:
https://www.etsy.com/uk/listing/608123807/sale-digital-stamp-digi-stamp-digistamp?ref=shop_home_active_4
https://www.etsy.com/uk/listing/608124609/sale-digital-stamp-digi-stamp-digistamp?ref=shop_home_active_2

I coloured the image using copics and cut it out using pretty die from Tonic. Lucky I had some matching card to mount it all onto. After all these years you would think I would remember to match the card/paper to the colouring before I start. LOL

Bookworm Katrina

Hi everyone,

Hands up, who loves a good book? Me to. I've always been an avid reader and will read just about any type of book. I do like a good book that has an unexpected twist at the end and some of the teen books are just brilliant to.

For this weeks planner spread I've chosen the Bookworm weekly kit and the Bookworm Katrina digi image that goes with it to. I coloured her with copics and added the kit around the image. I used some of the books in the digi image and just made them into a stack of books without the lady.

You can find the Bookworm weekly kit here at the store:

Special times

Hi crafty buddies,

Its time for a new challenge over at the Polkadoodles Crafting Challenge.
Why don't you come and join us and show us your beautiful projects, Anything Goes
 https://polkadoodle.blogspot.co.uk/

For my inspiration I'm using one of the beautiful new stamp sets from our Nikky, Special times. The DT are making projects with anything that is not a card so I used this great stamp set and made a hanging decoration using a heart from a local bargain store.

You can find it here at the store:
http://www.polkadoodles.co.uk/march-product-releases/

I made a background using brushos and then stamped some of the elements from the set on the back in black and pink. I stamped the lovely little girl and using some of my background to make her dress and coloured the rest of her in with copics. I added her to the heart with some pretty ribbon to hang it up.

Summer Solstice and Autumn Equinox

Hi there crafty buddies,

As you know I've got my mahoosive planner for this year!! so as our lovely Janice over at Scrappers Delights has a new release on her digi images I've used both of them for my March Spread. They are Summer Solstice and Autumn Equinox.

The seasons of the year are directly connected to both the solstices and the equinoxes. The days are longer around the summer solstice and shorter around the winter solstice. When the Sun's path crosses the equator, the length of the nights at latitudes +L° and -L° are of equal length. This is known as an equinox. There are two solstices and two equinoxes in a tropical year.

Aren't these both gorgeous images? Just look at all that hair. You can find them  here at the store
http://scrappersdelights.com/store/index.php?main_page=index&cPath=6

I coloured them up with copics and I used some of the elements from the sloth planner kit to create the spreads for them, you can find this kit at the store to using the link above. I also added some elements like the butterflies and honeycomb background using stencils and distress oxide inks.

Hello buddies,

We've got a new challenge starting over at th Sheepski Designs Facebook Group come and join us, Anything Goes https://www.facebook.com/groups/1730005463906336/

I've chosen to use Mika, wow isn't she just a beautiful angel. I would love to have wings like that all feathery and delicate. Not that I want to be an angel just yet!! of course that's assuming that I may have the criteria to become one anyway.
Have you seen that John Travolta movie 'Michael' where he's an angel, Michael is less than angelic: he drinks, smokes and basks in the attention of women. Oh dear it all turns out ok in the and though.

Hi everyone,

I seem to have Easter on my mind rather a lot at the moment.... Chocolate.... Bunnies.... Chocolate!! So much so that nearly all my March planner spreads have a Spring or Easter element to them to. This one is no exception and combines Spring and Easter using two great digi images from A&M memories

There is Springtime Suzette and Bunny Ears Angela. Guess which is which? LOL

I coloured them both with copics, added some stenciling using Distress Oxide inks and some of A&MMemories designs functional stickers to. The colourful laundry, coffee cup from coffee girl (blonde), colourful mail and Confident Cassy down in the right hand corner
